Antlerstack Terms of Service
Version: 1 Effective date: 7 November 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Antlerstack, based in the United Kingdom ("Antlerstack", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your use of the Antlerstack mobile app, the Antlerstack website, the Antlerstack API, and any related services (together, the "Service").
Please read these Terms carefully, especially the sections in bold and sections 9 (Outdoor activity, land access and assumption of risk), 14 (Disclaimers), 15 (Limitation of liability) and 16 (Indemnity). They affect your legal rights and limit our responsibility to you.
By creating an account, or by using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Land Access & Outdoor Safety Notice (which forms part of these Terms). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
Antlerstack lets you record outdoor activities and finds, including shed antlers and other deer finds, fishing catches, camping stays and trail camera placements, together with photos, notes, dates, locations and other details ("logs"). It also lets you:
- mark and share real-world places such as fishing and camping spots ("spots"), including their names, locations, photos and amenities;
- view a map showing your own logs and spots and, where other members have chosen to make them public, theirs;
- download offline maps and spot information for use without a signal;
- earn badges, keep a trophy cabinet, maintain a public profile, and like other members' logs;
- report content and block other members; and
- create shareable images of your own logs.
The Service is provided free of charge. We are not currently acting as a trader in relation to the Service. If we introduce paid features in future, we will tell you and any additional terms will apply only to those features.
2. Who can use Antlerstack
2.1 You must be at least 16 years old to create an account or use the Service, and you will be asked to confirm this when you sign up. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm that your parent or guardian has read and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. We do not otherwise check ages, but where we have good reason to believe an account belongs to someone under 16, we may ask the account holder to confirm their age, and may close the account.
2.2 You may not use the Service if we have previously banned you or suspended your account, or if you are prohibited from receiving services under the laws of the United Kingdom or any other applicable jurisdiction.
2.3 The Service is intended for personal, non-commercial use. You may not use it on behalf of a business, guiding operation, outfitter or other commercial enterprise without our prior written agreement.
3. Your account
3.1 You can register with an email address and password, or through Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You must give accurate information and keep it up to date. You must not create an account for anyone other than yourself, impersonate anyone, or hold more than one account.
3.2 You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us immediately at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed it. We will send you security emails (for example, when your password changes or a new device signs in), and you cannot switch these off, because they exist to protect your account.
3.3 Your username is public. It must not be offensive, misleading, impersonate another person or organisation, or infringe anyone's rights. We may reserve or reclaim usernames, and may require you to change one that breaks these Terms.
3.4 You can delete your account at any time from within the app. What happens to your content when you do is explained in section 17 and in our Privacy Policy.
4. Your content
4.1 "Your content" means anything you submit to the Service: logs, photos, notes, locations, spot names and details, amenity information, profile information (including your username, profile photo, tagline, website and social media handles), likes, ratings and reports.
4.2 You own your content. We do not claim ownership of it.
4.3 Licence to us. So that we can run the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sub-licensable licence to host, store, copy, cache, reproduce, resize, re-encode, adapt (for example, to create thumbnails or remove metadata), publish, display, distribute and otherwise use your content, in any media, for the purposes of operating, providing, securing, moderating, improving and promoting the Service.
- For content you make private, we use this licence only to store it, show it to you, back it up, and moderate or act on it where the law or these Terms require.
- For content you make public (including every public spot and anything you add to one), the licence is perpetual and irrevocable, and continues after you delete that content or your account, to the extent described in section 17. This is because public content (especially spots, which describe real places rather than your personal activity) becomes part of a shared community resource that other members rely on and build on.
- We will not sell your content or license it to third parties for their own independent use.
4.4 Licence to other members. You grant every other member a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to view and use your public content within the Service, as the Service's features allow.
4.5 Your promises about your content. You confirm that, for everything you submit:
- you own it, or have every right, licence, consent and permission needed to submit it and grant the licences above;
- it is accurate to the best of your knowledge and is not deliberately false or misleading;
- it does not infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- anyone identifiable in a photo you upload has agreed to it being published, and you have the consent of a parent or guardian for anyone under 18;
- it was not obtained by breaking the law, including trespass, poaching, or breaching any hunting, fishing, wildlife, camping or land-access rule; and
- it complies with section 6 (Acceptable use).
4.6 We do not review content before it is published and we are not responsible for it. Content reflects the views and claims of the member who submitted it, not Antlerstack. We do not verify any member's content, including species identifications, measurements, weights, trophy scores, dates, locations, amenities, access conditions or photos.
4.7 Location and visibility. You decide whether each log is public or private and, separately, whether its location is shown. Some settings are fixed: trail camera logs are always private, and logs at a spot take their location from the spot. Making a spot public cannot be undone. Once public, its name, position and existence become part of the community map and you can no longer edit or delete it. You are responsible for choosing appropriate visibility settings before you save. The app shows you what each setting means at the point you choose it.
4.8 Back up anything important. The Service is not a backup or archive service. Although we take reasonable steps to protect data, we do not guarantee that your content will never be lost, and you should keep your own copies of anything that matters to you, including your original photos.
5. Community spots and shared information
5.1 Public spots and their details (including names, locations, categories, amenities and photos) are community-maintained. Other members may add logs and photos to a spot, and members who have recently logged a stay at a camping spot may update its amenities. We may merge duplicate spots, rename spots and correct or remove spot information at our discretion.
5.2 A spot on Antlerstack is not a statement by us, or by the member who added it, that the place exists, is safe, is lawful to use, or is open to the public. See section 9.
5.3 Public spot information is included in downloadable offline data files so that members can use it without a signal. Those files do not identify who created a spot.
6. Acceptable use
We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. You must not use the Service to, or attempt to:
6.1 Break the law or encourage others to. This includes:
- trespassing, or encouraging or helping anyone else to trespass;
- poaching, illegal hunting, illegal fishing, taking protected species, taking wildlife or natural objects out of season, over bag or size limits, without a required licence, or from a place where collection is prohibited (for example, collecting antlers in a national park or nature reserve where that is not allowed);
- illegal camping, lighting fires where prohibited, or breaching any land manager's rules;
- placing a trail camera without the landowner's permission, or in a way that records people, private property or places where people have a reasonable expectation of privacy; and
- dealing in illegally obtained wildlife, parts of wildlife, or goods.
6.2 Endanger wildlife or places. Do not publish the location of nesting, breeding, roosting or denning sites of protected, rare or sensitive species, or any location where publication is likely to lead to disturbance, damage, persecution or poaching. Do not publish locations on private land without the owner's permission.
6.3 Post objectionable content, including content that is:
- sexual, pornographic or nude, or that sexualises anyone under 18 in any way (we report child sexual abuse material to the relevant authorities);
- violent, gory or cruel beyond what is inherent in lawful hunting, fishing and wildlife-find content, for example content depicting animal cruelty or the unlawful killing or suffering of animals;
- hateful, discriminatory, harassing, bullying, threatening or intimidating towards any person or group;
- defamatory, deliberately false or misleading, or intended to deceive (including falsified logs, measurements or trophy scores);
- someone else's personal information (such as a home address or phone number) without their consent;
- spam, advertising, promotion or solicitation;
- terrorist or violent-extremist content, or content promoting self-harm or suicide; or
- anything that infringes someone else's intellectual property or other rights.
6.4 Abuse other members, including by impersonating them, stalking them, using the Service to find or follow a person to a location, evading a block, or creating a new account after being banned.
6.5 Misuse the Service's technology, including by:
- scraping, crawling, harvesting or bulk-downloading content or data (including map pins, spot data or member profiles) by any automated means, except through official offline downloads used as the app intends;
- accessing the API other than through the Antlerstack app or as we expressly permit, exceeding rate limits, or sharing your access token;
- probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the Service or breaching any security or authentication measure (if you find a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to [email protected]);
- uploading viruses, malware or anything designed to harm the Service or anyone's device;
- interfering with or disrupting the Service, its servers or networks, or placing an unreasonable load on them;
- reverse-engineering, decompiling or disassembling the app except where the law expressly permits it; or
- copying, reselling or commercially exploiting the Service or its data.
6.6 Filtering. We automatically check some text you submit (such as usernames, notes, water body names and spot names) against a list of prohibited words and may refuse it. This filter is imperfect; passing it does not mean content is acceptable, and it is not a substitute for your responsibility under this section.
7. Reporting, blocking and moderation
7.1 Reporting. You can report any member, log, spot or photo you can see from within the app. You can also report illegal content to us at [email protected], including if you do not have an account. Please give enough detail for us to find the content and understand the problem. Do not knowingly submit false or abusive reports. When we have reviewed a report you filed, we will email you to say whether we took action. We do not tell you what action we took against another member.
7.2 Blocking. You can block another member at any time. A block works both ways: neither of you will see the other's logs, photos, profile or likes. The member you block is not told. Blocking does not remove shared spots from the map.
7.3 Our moderation rights. We may, at our sole discretion and with or without notice, review, refuse, restrict, remove, rename, merge or edit any content, and restrict, suspend or permanently ban any account, where we reasonably believe it breaks these Terms or the law, puts anyone at risk, or exposes Antlerstack or others to legal liability or harm. When we ban an account we may also refuse new accounts registered from the same device. We are not obliged to monitor the Service, and we are not responsible for acting, or not acting, on any content.
7.4 Statement of reasons. When we remove your content or suspend or ban your account, we will email you to tell you what we did, which part of these Terms it was under, and how to appeal, unless doing so would be unlawful or would compromise safety or an investigation. We do not tell you who reported it.
7.5 Complaints and appeals. If you think we got a moderation decision wrong, or you want to complain about how we handle illegal or harmful content, contact [email protected] with details. We will review it, respond within a reasonable time, and reverse our decision if we agree it was wrong. This does not affect any right you have to complain to a regulator or go to court.
7.6 Law enforcement. We may preserve and disclose information about you or your content to the police, regulators or other authorities where we believe in good faith that it is required by law or necessary to prevent harm, as described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Maps, locations and data
8.1 The Service's maps are based on OpenStreetMap data (© OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence) and other third-party sources. Elevation values are estimates from third-party elevation services, and the map's hillshade and contour lines are derived from open elevation datasets credited in the map's attribution. Contour lines are approximate: they can miss or misplace cliffs, steep ground and other features smaller than the spacing between them. Trails, paths, place names, spot locations, amenities and other map features may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date or wrong.
8.2 The maps do not show property boundaries, land ownership, rights of way, access rights, protected areas, restrictions, closures, hazards or seasons. A trail or path on the map is not evidence that you may use it.
8.3 GPS positions from your device, and locations shared by other members, may be inaccurate by a significant distance.
8.4 Antlerstack is not a navigation, safety, emergency or rescue tool. Do not rely on it to find your way, to avoid hazards, or to call for help. Always carry appropriate maps, navigation equipment and means of communication, and tell someone where you are going.
8.5 Offline maps and data are copies taken at a point in time and may not reflect the latest information. They are large downloads; you are responsible for any data charges from your mobile provider.
9. Outdoor activity, land access and assumption of risk
This section is important. Please read it carefully.
9.1 The Land Access & Outdoor Safety Notice forms part of these Terms. You must acknowledge it before using the map, and it is always available from the app's settings.
9.2 Antlerstack shows where things have been found and where other members say places are. It does not tell you where you are allowed to go, and it gives no one permission to enter any land or water. Nothing on Antlerstack, including any pin, spot, log, trail, map feature or other member's content, is a representation, warranty or invitation by us that any place is accessible, lawful to enter or use, safe, or suitable for any activity.
9.3 You alone are responsible for:
- finding out who owns or manages any land or water, and getting any permission you need before entering it;
- finding out and complying with every law, regulation, bylaw, licence, permit, tag, season, bag limit, size limit, fire restriction, closure and rule that applies to what you do and where you do it, including hunting, fishing, wildlife, collecting, camping, firearms, drone, vehicle and trail camera rules;
- assessing the weather, terrain, water, wildlife, conditions and hazards, and your own fitness, skill, experience and equipment; and
- your own safety and the safety of anyone with you or affected by what you do.
9.4 Outdoor activities are inherently dangerous. They carry risks including, but not limited to: getting lost; injury from falls, terrain, water, ice, cold, heat or weather; drowning; attacks or injury from wild or domestic animals; exposure to disease (including diseases carried by wildlife, ticks and water, and when handling antlers, skulls, carcasses or fish); hazards from hunting activity, firearms, fishing tackle and tools; fire; vehicle accidents; the actions of other people, including landowners; and prosecution, fines or civil claims for trespass or for breaching wildlife, fishing, hunting or land-access law. To the fullest extent the law allows, you voluntarily assume all of these risks when you choose to travel to, enter or use any place, or take part in any activity, whether or not you learned of it through the Service.
9.5 Do not use the app while driving, operating machinery, or in any situation where it would distract you from your surroundings.
9.6 You must follow biosecurity good practice (for example, "Check, Clean, Dry" for fishing and boating equipment) and leave no trace.
10. Other members
10.1 You are solely responsible for your interactions with other members, and for any decision to meet anyone, visit anywhere, or act on anything you see on the Service. We do not screen members and do not verify their identity, experience or claims.
10.2 If you are involved in a dispute with another member, you release us, to the fullest extent the law allows, from any claims arising out of that dispute. (This release does not apply to claims arising from our own negligence causing death or personal injury, our fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.)
11. Third-party services and links
The Service relies on and links to third-party services, including Apple, Google, the platforms on which you share images, and the social media profiles and websites members add to their profiles. We are not responsible for those services, their content, or their practices, and your use of them is governed by their own terms. Sharing a log image to another app is your own act; nothing is posted on your behalf.
12. Our intellectual property
12.1 The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, badge artwork, species catalogues and the selection and arrangement of its content (but excluding your content and third-party map data), belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
12.2 We grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sub-licensable licence to install and use the app on devices you own or control, and to use the Service, for your own personal, non-commercial purposes in line with these Terms. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
12.3 "Antlerstack" and our logos are our trade marks. You may not use them without our written permission.
12.4 Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, you allow us to use them freely without obligation to you.
12.5 Copyright complaints. If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, send details to [email protected], including identification of the work, the content complained of and where it is, your contact details, and a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised and that your notice is accurate. We may remove the content and may ban repeat infringers.
13. Availability and changes to the Service
13.1 We provide the Service on a free, best-efforts basis. We may change, suspend, withdraw or discontinue all or any part of it (including any feature, badge, offline region, record type or data), at any time and for any reason, including for maintenance, security, legal or commercial reasons. We will try to give reasonable notice of significant changes where practical.
13.2 We do not guarantee that the Service will always be available, uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that queued offline changes will always sync successfully, or that it will work on every device or operating system version. You may need to update the app to keep using the Service.
14. Disclaimers
14.1 To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service and all content, maps, data and information on it are provided "as is" and "as available", without any warranty, representation, condition or guarantee of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied terms as to satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, availability, non-infringement or quiet enjoyment.
14.2 Without limiting section 14.1, we make no promise that any content on the Service (including member content, spots, amenities, locations, trails, elevations, species identifications, measurements and scores) is accurate, complete, current, lawful, or safe to rely on. Any reliance you place on it is at your own risk.
14.3 Nothing on the Service is professional, legal, safety, veterinary, medical or regulatory advice.
14.4 Nothing in this section affects any legal rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded or limited by contract.
15. Limitation of liability
15.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
15.2 Subject to section 15.1, and to the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable to you, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), breach of statutory duty or otherwise, for:
- any loss or damage arising from your travel to, entry onto, or use of any land, water or place, or your participation in any outdoor activity, including any injury, illness, property damage, fine, prosecution, penalty, civil claim or confiscation;
- any loss or damage arising from content submitted by other members, or from the acts or omissions of any other member or third party;
- any loss or damage arising from inaccurate, incomplete or out-of-date maps, locations, elevations or other data;
- any loss of, or corruption to, your content or data;
- any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these Terms;
- any loss of profit, revenue, business, contract, goodwill or opportunity (the Service is for personal use only); or
- any damage to your device or other digital content caused by the Service, where you could have avoided it by following our advice to apply an update we provided free of charge or by meeting the minimum system requirements we advised.
15.3 Subject to section 15.1, our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of (a) £50 and (b) the total amount, if any, you have paid us in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. You acknowledge that the Service is provided free of charge and that this limit is reasonable in that light.
15.4 Where the law of your country does not allow any of the exclusions or limitations in this section, they apply only to the extent that law allows.
16. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to compensate us for any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, fines, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) that we incur arising out of: (a) your content; (b) your breach of these Terms or of any law; (c) your travel to, entry onto or use of any land, water or place, or your participation in any activity, in connection with your use of the Service; or (d) your infringement of anyone's rights. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by our own breach of these Terms or our negligence.
17. Ending your account
17.1 You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the app, or by following the web deletion process at https://antlerstack.com/delete-account/. Deletion is immediate and permanent and cannot be undone. When you delete your account:
- your name, email address, username, password, profile photo and other profile details are erased, and you are signed out on every device;
- your private logs, their photos, and private spots with nothing else attached are deleted;
- your public logs and their photos, and photos you added to public spots, remain on the Service, credited to no one, unless you choose to delete them too when you delete your account; and
- public spots you created, the likes and ratings you gave, and the reports you filed remain, credited to no one, because other members' content and records depend on them.
Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what is kept, for how long, and why.
17.2 We may suspend or end your access to the Service, or delete your account, at any time if you breach these Terms, if we are required to by law, if your account has been inactive for a long period, or if we stop providing the Service. Where reasonable and lawful we will tell you first.
17.3 Sections 4.3 (as it applies to public content), 4.5, 4.6, 9, 10, 14, 15, 16, 17, 19 and any other provisions that by their nature should survive, survive the end of these Terms.
18. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes to the Service or the law. Each version has a version number. If we make a material change, we will tell you in the app and ask you to accept the new version before you continue using the Service. If you do not accept, you must stop using the Service and may delete your account. The version you accepted, and when, is recorded against your account.
19. General
19.1 Governing law. These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or the Service (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by the law of England and Wales.
19.2 Courts. The courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you are a consumer living in the European Union or elsewhere, you also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your local courts where that law gives you the right to.
19.3 Consumer law notice for EU users. We have declared to the app stores that we are not a trader in relation to the Service. This means that consumer rights under European Union law that apply to contracts with traders may not apply to your contract with us.
19.4 Informal resolution. Before starting any formal proceedings, please contact us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve the issue.
19.5 Entire agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Land Access & Outdoor Safety Notice, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service and replace any earlier agreement.
19.6 Transfer. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these Terms to another person or organisation, including to a company we set up to run the Service. We will tell you if we do, and it will not reduce your rights. You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent.
19.7 Severability. If any part of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the rest remains in effect, and the affected part is modified to the minimum extent needed to make it enforceable.
19.8 No waiver. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we can still enforce it later.
19.9 Third-party rights. Except as stated in section 20, no one other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms, whether under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 or otherwise.
19.10 Events outside our control. We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including failures of third-party services, networks or hosting providers.
20. Additional terms for Apple devices
If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store:
20.1 These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
20.2 Your licence to use the app is limited to a non-transferable licence to use it on Apple-branded products you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, except that the app may be accessed by other accounts associated with you through Family Sharing or volume purchasing.
20.3 Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app.
20.4 If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any) for the app. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app, and any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses attributable to any failure to conform to any warranty are, subject to these Terms, our responsibility.
20.5 Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the app or your possession or use of it, including product liability claims, claims that the app fails to conform to any legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar legislation. Subject to these Terms, we are responsible for such claims.
20.6 If a third party claims that the app or your possession and use of it infringes their intellectual property rights, we, not Apple, are responsible for the investigation, defence, settlement and discharge of that claim, to the extent required by these Terms.
20.7 You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as "terrorist supporting", and are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
20.8 You must comply with any applicable third-party terms (such as your wireless data service agreement) when using the app.
20.9 Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, once you accept them, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
